New Jersey Repertory Company – Freelance Scenic Carpenter
Reports to: Scenic Designer/Production Manager
Position Status: Hourly, Temporary, Non-Exempt
Salary: $18 to $30/hour, depending on experience

About us: New Jersey Repertory Company, a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theatre located steps away from the Jersey Shore, seeks freelance scenic carpenter.
About the position: Position requires a general understanding of the scenery construction and installation process. Must be capable and willing to assist with load-in and load-out. Must be proficient in use of hand and power tools. Must be punctual and reliable. Must be able to work well independently and cooperatively as a member of a team. 2+ years of experience in the industry preferred but not required. Ability to interpret drawings for construction is a plus. Must comply with all safety and security procedures related to Covid-19 and company policies. Must have reliable transportation. Qualifications:
• Self-starter and team player with good organizational skills.
• Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
• Must be able to work late hours and on weekends when necessary
