New Jersey Repertory Company – Art Gallery Assistant
Position: Art Gallery Assistant
Reports to: Gallery Curator
Position Status: Hourly, Temporary, Non-Exempt
Salary: $25/hour
Hours: Between 5 to 16hrs per week

About us: The West End Art Gallery is part of the New Jersey Repertory Company’s West End Arts Center located in Long Branch NJ. New Jersey Repertory Company is a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theatre located steps away from the Jersey Shore.
About the position: West End Arts is seeking an individual to assist with the exhibitions at the West End Gallery. Responsibilities would include gallery sitting on assigned exhibition days. Helping with the opening reception event. Becoming proficient in the knowledge of each exhibit in order to answer questions and give guided tours of the gallery. As well as physically participating in the load in, hanging and load out of each exhibit.
Qualifications:
• An enthusiasm and interest in all things creative
• Good people skills and a welcoming nature
• Must be comfortable using ladders, hand tools and small power tools
• Must be willing and able to work weekends

New Jersey Repertory Company – Freelance Scenic Carpenter
Reports to: Scenic Designer/Production Manager
Position Status: Hourly, Temporary, Non-Exempt
Salary: $18 to $30/hour, depending on experience

About us: New Jersey Repertory Company, a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theatre located steps away from the Jersey Shore, seeks freelance scenic carpenter.
About the position: Position requires a general understanding of the scenery construction and installation process. Must be capable and willing to assist with load-in and load-out. Must be proficient in use of hand and power tools. Must be punctual and reliable. Must be able to work well independently and cooperatively as a member of a team. 2+ years of experience in the industry preferred but not required. Ability to interpret drawings for construction is a plus. Must comply with all safety and security procedures related to Covid-19 and company policies. Must have reliable transportation. • Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
• Must be able to work late hours and on weekends when necessary
