West End Arts – Event Supervisor
Reports to: Associate Artistic Director, Managing Director
Position Status: Hourly, Temporary, Non-Exempt

About us: New Jersey Repertory Company (NJRep), a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theater located steps away from the Jersey Shore in Long Branch will be opening their second space, The West End Arts Center, located in the West End section of Long Branch, in March 2026 and is looking for an event supervisor to work events.
About the position: The event supervisor will serve as the on-site point of contact during events. This position coordinates production, stage management, box office and front-of-house to make sure that guests’ needs are met and exceeded. The position is expected to arrive two hours prior to the start of the event and stay through the event and close and secure the venue. Ideal candidate will have great problem-solving skills and will be able troubleshoot unexpected problems effectively.
This position will be scheduled for up to 20 hours per week in 5-hour shifts. Hours may fluctuate depending upon project needs. Evenings and weekends are required. Candidates from underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Parking is provided. We are located about a 15-minute walk from the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line’s Long Branch station.
Description of duties and tasks:
• Liaises with vendors, internal teams, and production staff to ensure all event elements are in place
• Monitor event flow, addresses last-minute changes, resolves immediate issues and ensures adherence to plans and quality standards.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company regulations, and identifies and reports hazards.
• Provide excellent customer service, answers questions and resolves problems to enhance attendee satisfaction
• Communicate with supervisors, reports issues, and provide feedback on event performance.
• Other duties as applicable
Qualifications:
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Able to communicate effectively with the public, vendors, outside producers, and staff
• Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and/or weekends as necessary

West End Arts – Box Office

About the position: Representing the box office at the newly opened facility, the box office clerk will assist patrons with day-of-show ticketing issues. This includes helping customers purchase tickets for day-of shows, locating lost orders and tickets, reprinting tickets as needed, and any other day-of-show ticketing needs.
This position will be scheduled for up to 15 hours per week in 4-hour shifts. Hours may fluctuate depending upon project needs. Evenings and weekends are required. Candidates from underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Parking is provided. We are located about a 15-minute walk from the NJ Transit North Jersey Coast Line’s Long Branch station.

• Perform opening and closing box office procedures
• Reconcile end-of-night box office income
