At NJ Rep, we believe that live theater has the power to inspire, educate, and bring communities together. Our Education & Community Outreach programs are designed to introduce students, young audiences, and families to the performing arts through engaging, accessible, and memorable experiences.

Throughout the year, New Jersey Repertory Company offers a variety of FREE performances, workshops, readings, and special events created specifically for children, students, and emerging theater enthusiasts. These programs encourage creativity, spark imagination, and provide meaningful opportunities for young people to connect with the arts in a welcoming environment.

Our educational initiatives are designed to complement classroom learning while fostering a lifelong appreciation for theater and storytelling. By exposing students to professional productions and interactive experiences, NJ Rep helps cultivate critical thinking, empathy, communication skills, and artistic expression. Whether attending a live performance, participating in a workshop, or engaging with artists and educators, young audiences gain valuable insight into the creative process and the power of the performing arts.

As part of our commitment to community engagement, all Education & Community Outreach events are offered free of charge, ensuring that families from throughout Long Branch, Monmouth County, and beyond have access to high-quality arts programming. While admission is free, advance registration is required for all events to help us provide the best possible experience for our guests.

To create a family-focused atmosphere, parents and guardians are required to remain with their children throughout each performance or event. Please note that adults without accompanying children are not permitted to attend youth-focused programming.

NJ Rep is proud to serve as a cultural resource for our community by making theater accessible, educational, and enjoyable for audiences of all ages. We invite you to explore our upcoming programs and discover the transformative impact of live theater through our Education & Community Outreach initiatives.
