New Jersey Repertory Company – Group Sales/Marketing Assistant

Reports to: Managing Director

About us: New Jersey Repertory Company, a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theater located steps away from the Jersey Shore, seeks a part-time Group Sales/Marketing Assistant to help identify group sales and single ticket buyer leads.

About the position: Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Artistic Director, the Group Sales/Marketing Assistant will help identify new avenues for group sales and single ticket buyers. This position is in charge of maintaining, creating and fostering relationships with prospective and current clients, developing partnerships with outside venues and neighborhood partners, and managing orders from group reservations.

•  Strong ability to successfully communicate with the public, employees, and vendors using verbal and written skills 
•  Outstanding work ethic and attention to detail 
•  Must be able to work during performances, late hours, and on weekends

New Jersey Repertory Company – Box Office Associate

About the position: Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Artistic Director, the Box Office Associate helps oversee daily box office operations at NJRep. This is a ticket sales position that includes additional duties such as customer service, opening/closing procedures and ticketing reporting. Description of duties and tasks:  

•  Assists NJRep patrons in purchasing the best available seating for performances.
•  Maintains up to date patron and ticketing information in the computerized ticketing system.
•  Remains current on show and venue information.
•  Answers incoming phone calls on ticket sales, performances and other general NJRep and NJRep West End information.
•  Performs opening and closing procedures as needed.

About us: New Jersey Repertory Company, a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theatre located steps away from the Jersey Shore seeks a part-time Guest Services Manager to oversee all front-of-house operations during performances and other scheduled events at both NJRep and NJRep West End.

About the position: Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Artistic Director and the Volunteer Coordinator and Production Stage Manager, the Guest Services Manager oversees all aspects of the guest experience during all performances at both NJRep and NJRep West End. This position is responsible all front-of-house activities including audience check-in, on-site box office needs, and providing welcoming services prior to, during, and post- performance, and closing and locking up the venues. About us: New Jersey Repertory Company, a nationally acclaimed non-profit professional theatre located steps away from the Jersey Shore seeks two part-time Literary Intern to assist in identifying new works for part of our developmental reading series which has presented over 400 new plays.

About the position: Working closely with the Artistic Director and Managing Director, and reporting to the Literary Manager, the Literary Intern will assist our literary department in script reading and text analysis, as well as helping identify new and upcoming playwrights. About the position: NJRep is seeking a strategic and collaborative public relations professional to amplify the organization's productions through skillfully planned and executed public relations campaigns. •  Develop comprehensive public relations strategies and objectives for NJRep and NJRep West End productions and programs.

About the position: Applicants must have general theater knowledge. Able to understand how to read a light plot, hang and cable lighting units. At least 1 year of theatrical lighting experience. Able to climb ladders and lift 25 lbs. Knowledge of light board programing. Currently this is a freelance position as we need a team every 6 to 8 weeks depending on the run of each show. About the position: Reporting to the Lighting Designer and working closely with the Production Manager the Master Electrician should have ideally 3+ years of experience as an ME, no degree necessary, and must have knowledge of how to reach and hang a plot. Must know ETC lighting products (LED Light Fixtures, DMX Protocol). Must be able to supervise and hire a small lighting team. About the position: Position requires a general understanding of the scenery construction and installation process. Must be capable and willing to assist with load-in and load-out. Must be proficient in use of hand and power tools. Must be punctual and reliable. Must be able to work well independently and cooperatively as a member of a team. 2+ years of experience in the industry preferred but not required. Ability to interpret drawings for construction is a plus. Must comply with all safety and security procedures related to Covid-19 and company policies. Must have reliable transportation.
