EVAN BERGMAN (Director) Recent credits include the first all African American production of American Buffalo featuring Reg.E. Cathey and Paul Butler (W.H.A.T) World premiere NY Playwrights Lab Ten Ex- Lovers. Goodnight Sister, James Lapine and And Some Counseling Jonathan Marc Sherman, (Cherry Lane) directing the workshop of the much talked about new play The Glass House at Barrington Stage, the world premiere of Jack Canfora’s Place Setting at New Jersey Rep and Off Broadway's Machivelli by Richard Vetere. Some of his other credits include the world premiere of the musical A Girl Called Dusty (Provincetown Playhouse), which will be remounted in London in Winter of 2009. (New York) GRYZK Ensemble Studio Theater Marathon 05, Off Broadway's original production of Bobbi Boland, Bryan Goluboff's Big Al, Richard Vetere's Making Book, Paul Scott Goldman's musical Tiny Dancer. Mr. Bergman also directed the world premiere of the critically acclaimed New York and Los Angeles productions of The Director starring John Shea. Other credits include the East Coast premiere of Lemonade by Mike Folie for New Jersey Rep, the world premiere of John Ford Noonan's Green Mountain Fever, (The Round Barn VT), and Florida Girls (Passage Theater NJ) His work has also been seen in New York at Naked Angles, Rattlestick the Samuel Becket, West Bank, and Jane Street Theaters among others. (Los Angeles) The Odessy, The Tiffany and Actor's Lab Theater. In 2004 he directed the inaugural production of As Bees And Honey Drown at the new Provincetown Theater on Cape Cod. His Film by Obie Award winner John Ford Noonan Dig A Hole, Find A Finger was an official selection at the Palm Springs and Newport Beach International Film Festivals and he recently completed directing a Documentary for Warner Music Group and Edge recording Artist G Tom Mac. The film features many artist in the music industry including Roger Daltry (The Who), Philip Bailey (Earth Wind and Fire) He is also developing a new musical Have A Little Faith with Grammy award winner John Hiatt. |
